Today I Am a Totally New Person. I Was Able to Turn My Life Around.

Narconon Suncoast

I was born in Pozzuoli, Italy in 1962. I smoked my first joint at 14 years old. I drank wine for the first time at 16 which was considered normal at the time. I’ve done drugs ever since. I was successful in life even though I had an addiction. Even though it didn’t affect my career, my addiction did affect my health and my relationship with my family.

My wife was the one who found Narconon. She tried for a whole year to get me to go, but I wouldn’t. One morning I woke up to my heart racing and I knew I had to go get help, or I would die soon. I told her to call Narconon, I had to go.

When I started the Narconon program 3 months ago, my life was a mess. I was in bad health. My family didn’t trust me. My wife was ready to give up on me. I made my daughter feel as if I didn’t care about her. I’d go long periods of time without calling her. Everything around me was chaos. My life really was a disaster.

At the beginning of the program, the only desire was to get out of here. I was depressed. It did help that I could tell the staff here really cared about me. Little by little, I started to feel better mentally and physically. My head started to feel better. I began running in the mornings and my body started to get stronger. I started to act more rationally. I was emotionally stable. I started feeling 10 years younger. Today I am a totally new person. I was able to turn my life around. I haven’t been able to be sober for the last 30 years. It’s amazing how good I feel sober now. I am calmer and a lot less angry. I was always so tense, now I’m able to just be relaxed. Now someone could yell at me and I will give them a smile back, before that wasn’t possible.

“My family would come to see me every week and they noticed a BIG change in me. They were proud of me and that was a big win for me to see my family begin to trust me again. Now I feel like I’m a new person thanks to Narconon.”

Exercising and doing the Narconon program helped me a lot. I’m excited to have the chance to make up for lost time with my family. I want to spend every minute with them that I can. Before I was running from them, but that’s not the case anymore. My family would come to see me every week, and they noticed a BIG change in me. They were proud of me, and that was a big win for me to see my family begin to trust me again. Now I feel like I’m a new person thanks to Narconon.

The best advice I could give to anyone struggling with addiction is to go to Narconon. If you’re in the early stages of recovery; sit tight. It gets better, the things you’re feeling are things that everyone goes through. If you really want this, you’ll get through it. If you have family you can lean on during your recovery, do so. I believe a supportive family is important in recovery.
