It is a tragedy in our society that so many people are hooked on prescription drugs. The commercialization of an industry that is so destructive certainly does not help. You have so many drug companies pushing “talk to your doctor about getting on this drug” is a new twist in the ever ongoing war against drugs. Since when does the drug company diagnose and tell the patient to tell the doctor to prescribe something that sometimes has worse side effects than the actual ailment in question. Something to think about before going to your next doctor appointment. Perhaps the Doctor could tell us what is wrong with our body and what to do to remedy it.
At least at Suncoast Rehab we can do something about picking the person up and putting him back on the path to addiction-free wellness.
